How can Fusion Team's spam and email filtering help my business?

Through some very simple changes to the way your email is received, we can help you reduce the amount of spam and viruses you and your business receive, before they even reach you. The service works as follows:

  1. An email is sent from jack.jones@businessa.com to you@yourbusiness.com

  2. In order to send the email to you@yourbusiness.com, Business A's email server must lookup the mail server responsible for receiving mail on behalf of your business. This record is stored in your domain DNS records and is know as an MX record.

  3. Business A's email server finds the MX record for your domain as mx.fusionteam.co.uk. This is the address for Fusion Team's cluster of mail cleaning servers.

  4. The email from Business A is directed to the Fusion Team cleaning servers for analysis and filtering.

  5. If the email is clean (free of viruses and known not to be spam), the email is forwarded to your mail server as clean email.

  6. Your business mail server receives the message for you@yourbusiness.com and no longer has to complete any further analysis on the message, but to simply forward the message to the correct mailbox, knowing this email is clean.
